I always have a plan of where our next holiday will be, but this year I’m stumped! This will be our last holiday before we’re embroiled in the school system and only able to travel during the hugely expensive school holidays or face being fined for taking our daughter away in term time. So I was hoping to go somewhere a bit different but I’m not sure where that ‘different’ place is. I have many, many places on my wanderlust list but most seem to carry a risk of the Zika virus, which we’re trying to avoid as we’d like to, hopefully, expand out family soon and advice is not to get pregnant for at least 2 or 3 months post trip due to possible health implications for an unborn child.
Little Legs only criteria is a beach that she can build sandcastles on. Mr R doesn’t really mind where we go, and to him beaches all look the same so would be just as happy staying in the UK if a beach is the defining factor of the holiday. I, on the other hand, need more than just a beach. I would like lots of sunshine, hot weather though not too hot for Little Legs, and places of interest to visit. Oh and definitely good food. Sitting on a beach or by a pool is fine for a day or two, or three if I really must but I certainly couldn’t spend a whole week doing it no matter how much Little Legs is enjoying building sandcastles or splashing about in the water.
Decisions, decisions…. Where’s your holiday this year?
